Any person who is born in one of the many beautiful islands scattered in the Pacific Ocean considers themselves as a Pacific Islander. If someone says they were born in one of the following islands then they are Pacific Islanders: New Guinea, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Marianas, Guam, Marshall Islands, Kiribati, Nauru, Hawaiian islands, Midway Islands, Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, and any of the New Zealand Islands are all in the Pacific Ocean.

Polynesians have been genetically linked through blood test to the peoples of Southeast Asia. Sometime maybe 5000 yrs. ago they first arrived in what as now known as Samoa, from there they spread to other islands to the south like Tonga. Other tribes of ******* descent inhabited the Melanesian islands mixed with the Asian settlers, then around 500 years ago the white settlers arrived and due to diseases many Polynesians have died and mixed with the white settlers. A pacific islander is any Polynesian, Phillopino, Micronesian, Guamanian, or any Asian living in the islands of the pacific.
