can dementors in harry potter kill a wizard with horcrux through their kiss??

yah... so if a dementor sucked out voldy's 1/7th part of the soul, they wouldn't get much out. in fact, they might just bypass him, Knowing and Feeling FULL WELL that he does not have an intact soul, therefore will not have much to feed on. but i would say, if they sucked out voldy's 1/7th, his body would die, and he would become Vapor again (as in book1), and wormtail or whoever would have to perform the magic to create a new body for voldemort.

and comment on what Dawn wrote, i have a theory that Dumbledore had a Good "horcrux" type way of keeping himself alive/useful even after event of death.. he had made cryptic analogies to "if anyone is loyal to him, he will never leave hogwarts, etc etc". also, he is attached to the Phoenix, which is an animal who dies, and then comes back to life from the ashes. that is not a coincidence!

Dementors kill the soul, leaving the body an empty shell, but alive. So far only Lord V has dared use horcruxes and for a very different reason, he is trying to live forever.

First of all, Dementors cannot kill. All they can do is extract the happiness out of beings and extract their soul through a kiss.

But this is a very interesting and intriguing question.

If we use a bit of logic here, we'll reach this conclusion. The point is that if you have made horcruxes, then it means you have put pieces of your soul into something. So basically, if a Dementor would suck your soul out, it would only be able to suck out the soul you still have left in you, not the pieces you have put into creating horcruxes. So in that case, the person would be able to retrieve parts of his/her soul and put them back.

But even so, this wouldn't be considered death. Not physical death. The point is though that JKR wants us to understand that living without a soul is worse than dying.

Dementors kill their victims by sucking the soul out of them, I'd imagine that if a Dementor was to kiss Voldemort they would only be able to destroy the part of the soul inside of him, meanwhile the other parts of his soul that are hidden as horcruxes in other objects would be safe.

nicely, it particularly says interior the Deathly Hallows that a horcrux can purely be destroyed in a manner the place this is previous magical restoration....the basilisk fang destroys horcruxes through fact the sole scientific shelter basilisk venom are pheonix tears, that are very uncommon. And the sword of Godric Gryffindor can smash horcruxes through fact Harry used it to kill the basilisk interior the Chamber of secrets and strategies, and the sword purely "takes in what makes it better", which could be basilisk venom. Is a dementor's kiss previous magical restoration? i assume it relies upon on the way you think of roughly it somewhat. this is a definite or no. yet maximum probable no through fact to boot, this is a fraction of a soul, the different piece or products of the soul exist in different issues. And a Dementor feeds on chuffed recommendations, whilst a horcrux has none in any respect. however the main factor is that it must be purely approximately irrecoverable by using magic, previous fix.

i believe they can only kill that portion of the wizard. any horcrux stashed else where should be safe. lets hope dumbledore has a horcrux!!!!!

Dementors dont kill, they suck the soul out of the body. Thats as good as dead but not dead.
