Lets be honest. Andre Miller won't turn the team into serious playoff contenders. The chances are, the Sixers will keep going downhill to the point where they're like one of the worst 5 teams in the league. But that's not too bad either. I mean the 2007 draft has alot of good players, some of the best we've seen in a while in the draft. And as a Sixers fan I'd rather see them get a good first round pick than to see them get blown out in the first round of the playoffs. With that being said:

Who would be a better player for the Sixers if they got the first pick? Greg Oden or that Durant guy?

If they were to get either of these two guys, would they dramatically impact the team (get them a good record the next year)?

I don't know who that Durant guy is you mentioned, but Oden is what most people talk about. I know he came off an injury, but he was still so sloppy in the UF game a few days ago. If he can't take that...how's he gonna thrive in the NBA??? So I'm saying that if Oden and that Durant guy are close, they should pick the other guy. Oden doesn't seem to promising for the long run.

Hey, don't knock Andre Miller, he's a very good point guard, it's just that he's not a superstar to build a team around. If the Sixers can improve through the draft and free agency, Miller will be a real asset.

If the Sixers do get the first overall pick int he next draft, they should fdefinately pick Oden, although there is some talk he won't declare after his first year. He's an excellent athlete and a very good defensive player, though his offensive game needs work. He can have a definately impact on the team.

The starting gate in the Greg Oden Derby burst open this week. Philadelphia decided to participate in the franchise-fixing race without the longtime star of its stable and grabbed the early lead.
When the 76ers announced they planned on trading Allen Iverson - presumably for a young player, an expiring contract and a future first-round draft pick - they proclaimed to all the world that the rest of their season was about one thing.
Losing.
Philadelphia wants to lose enough games - 62 might do it - so the 76ers will be favored this spring when the Ping-Pong balls pop out of commissioner David Stern's blender and determine which team gets Oden, who will immediately transform the lucky lottery winner a contender for the next decade.
Sixers brass won't admit that their decision to dump Iverson at a garage-sale price underlines their commitment of going wire-to-wire in the race for Oden

They are not even guaranteed first pick even if they're the worst team because of the lottery. I don't think this draft is that strong either, unless there are some guys I've missed in high school. Oden would be a solid center for years but he's not spectacular, he's not quick enough to be a dominant scorer, but will be an excellent rebounder and shot blocker. Assume nothing when it comes to the lottery because the worst team usually never gets first pick.

Oden has been the projected #1 pick for a long time now. I've heard he loves playing College ball and may not even enter June's draft but c'mon, of course he will once he gets the smell of money. Durant is a very good player though too, I've seen him play in a few games. Either one of those guys could help a team like Philly out right away.

Greg Oden = Admrial Jr.
He has bin nothing short of dominate in his few games at Ohio State. Who ever has the first pick would be regreting it for years to come if they passed on him.
Durant is good to but he is a player that has more "bust potetial" then Oden.
If Philly gets either player though its still going to be rough for 2 or 3 more years to come before they can get back to playoffs. It will just take time for either of there young stars to develop. Think Dwight Howard.

The bobcats will %. up Joakim Noah palms down because of the fact of his shown track checklist to be a winner and his adventure. he's an athletic defender and rebounder yet could use some artwork on his offensive interest. he's nearly a Boris Diaw basically taller and longer on the wingspan. He can help returned up Okafor or probably start up in the event that they deal Sean could away that's what they could do because of the fact Jordan would not like obese submit gamers that's strictly what could is. Brezec is a superb backup and Walter Herman became a brilliant suprise final 12 months so their frontline is coming alongside. With Noah they have a sturdy defender and rebounder who will compliment okafor and help carry capability and championship adventure to the bobcats. Their lineup could contain: PG-raymond felton SG-adam morrison SF-gerald wallace (this is assuming he resigns which he pronounced he in all threat will) PF-sean could (granted they dont commerce him) C-emeka okafor key bench-walter herman, brevin knight, joakim noah, premoz brezec
