Call the police, they can take him to a shelter. A number of homeless are mentally ill and some do show unpredictable behavior so I personally would not help him.

Since there are no shelters where we live, we'd do the only other decent thing and bring him into our home, offer him work for room and board and try to help him get back on his feet. Few truly want to be homeless. In fact we HAVE done this and haven't been ripped off yet. (Once many years ago we too were homeless during an Illinois winter with two small children, it's only fair to pass our good fortune onto others in the same situation now.)

move the box they will follow teh box and suggest a homeless shelter, offer to drive them their provide some money and a little food.

i'l let him in, give him warm clothes & something 2 eat... if he doesnt have a place 2 stay, i'l make sure i find a shelter 4 him 2 stay...
