I have been taking ortho tricyclen for about 4 years now and dont use any other of protection during sex. weeks after my last period i had very frequent urination and horrible breast tenderness, sometimes so bad, i couldnt move. I kinda shrugged it off and now im 2 days late for my period and have had constipation and extreme nausea at night and decreased appetite. I did miss one pill this month but took it the next day when i remembered. should i be freaking out. when should i take a test?

you can take it when you miss your period so you should be able to take it now. yes you can get pregnant on birth control. i did

I've had the same thing happen before while on the pill and I was not pregnant. It has something to do withthe type of hormones that are in the pill. However, I would advise taking a pregnancy test because after all the pills are only 99.9% effective. YOu could be that one in a million, plus, you did miss one day. I have known people to get pregnant from just missing one day but it is rare. Better safe than sorry, I'd get tested if I were you.

You have to remember that birth control pills simulate your being pregnant. But if you haven't had this happen before I would take a pregnancy test. The sooner you know the better. Missing one day is absoluately OK if you remember before its time to take your next dose. I actually forget about once a month. And I've been pregnant before on less effective birth control the depo shot. 2 days late isn't reason to freak stay calm until you know what exactly is going to happen.

This can happen. It's not bad if you 2 days late with your period. Make some pregnancy test.

Pregnancy pills are never 100% you should take a test in about a week.

Dont get panic, relax Wait for a month, than still you have some problem, than visit a doctor...sometimes due to some hormon changes also you have this type of problems... and if you are pgnt than congrates.. accept it as god's gift to you..
