do you think i can buy a balenciaga bag there? is there a saks fifth avenue or barney's there? i plan on going there in a few months and just would like to know.

no saks nor barneys. the closest would be rustan's in makati. it's a few steps away from glorietta 4, which also has a lot of high-end designer apparel and merchandise. check out greenbelt and rockwell too.
there is no balenciaga store in the philippines. filipinos (the rich ones anyway) travel to hong kong or singapore for that.

I dont think they have SAKS or Barney's there, however you can shop designer brands at the Shangri-la mall, Greenbelt 3 and Glorietta 4.

no saks or barney here, but you can try power plant mall in manila. they have authentic designer boutiques there. depends also where in the philippines are you going. There are some over runs though from export companies who produces designer products that might interest you.

You will pay more in the Philippines than anywhere else. Do not come to the Philippines expecting bargains. Most of the " authentic goods " are knock offs and fakes. And these will be over priced.

sorry there's no saks 5th ave. store here, maybe u can try shopping at rustan's store in glorietta and alabang. they carry the authentic items for a much higher price (for us pinoys), so we don't buy them. only the rich can afford such luxuries.. u can also go to greenbelt 4, most of the branded names are there like, louis vuitton, salvadore ferragamo, bally, etc.

you can try rockwell in guadelupe. they have all the major designer boutiques there. and plus, the bakya crowd does not go there since everything is too pricey for them. hehehe...
