No doubt it gives VERY BAD influence, but not only on children ! It's bad for adults too! There are good programs, of course, but the bad abd stupid ones are far more numerous! Violence and silly examples are there all day long!

Parents need to be selective about what television shows their children see. There are some wonderful documentarys and educational programs on tv. Children also need to be taught that the most shows are not real. What small children should not see is the news - it is way too graphic and violent for them.

Television has potential for negative influence. It depends on what there allowed to watch on television.

I suggest not using it as a babysitter when parents could be playing basketball, cards, monopoly, doing crafts, ping pong and other activities with their kids.

If they are watching violence or porn too young, yes.
If they are watching programs of educational value in moderation, no.
