Never put your personal inconveniences above the true meaning of Christmas. You had a miserable Xmas. Too bad. You have health (I assume) and family (I assume). Be warned, neither will expire magically on your deaths bed. Some day, someone that figured into the formula of discontent you posted here will be gone forever. Similarly, some day, your health might make the next Christmas your last. Still feel your Christmas could possibly be made miserable? Enjoy your health..enjoy the lives of those still left in your life. The food-getting/preparing and gift getting/giving is nothing when you realize that the true spirit of Christmas is being appreciative that you still have people you can laugh with. Enjoy that. It is irreplaceable.

HI SAMDANCE6,
i am so sorry that your Christmas was not good......what happened??? were you all alone ?? did you get into it with your man?? did you not get any Christmas gifts??? was your family fighting??
i wish i knew what happened so i could help you out a little more.
i think you should sleep on the matter and see how you feel about things tomorrow. then if you are still feeling this way tomorrow then maybe you should go ahead and take your tree and decorations down. i am so sorry that things went so badly for you today (12/25/06) and i wish there was something i could do to help you.......if i had more information maybe i could help you.
anyway, i am going to pray really hard for you so that maybe you will feel better tomorrow. GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU SAFE

You had decorations. That's more than some. How about if you had to spend the holiday alone with no family and no friends and nobody to care one way or the other. What if your father or another relative passed away on Christmas day? Be thankful for what you had whether it turned out the way you wanted it to or not. Remember, there is ALWAYS someone worse off than you and you should be appreciative.

Forget it, get yourself dolled up, get your hair cut or styled, buy yourself some nice expensive shoes(or whatever tickles your fancy) and go out for a blast with your friends. If none are around, then pick yourself up and get out and enjoy yourself. You will meet plenty of people and this will distract you from whatever is ailing you. It is not an escape, but a bit of (the way it sounds) well earned enjoyment!
Look forwards not back! HNY in advance :)))

Throw the damn tree in the woods and buy a better one next year. In fact, trash it all. You'll feel great. Then have a new years with no regrets. Something something praise you.

Are you depressed? maybe see your doctor.
Sometimes happiness is a choice.
You may see a depressing tree and others can see a tree and the little lights fill you with hopes & joy. Putting the bad behind and loving what there is to love. See the world beyond your own missery.

I felt the same, christmas was a bummer.etc. etc. etc..
So..I packed up all the decorations, all of it .everything ....And It felt great....
Now I'm watching Kathy Griffin on cable .....Christmas can be so miserable....so, pack it up , throw out the tree, wipe your tears, and watch Kathy Griffin she rocks...and is the best remedy for EX-Mas blues.......

I feel for you.
I didn't even put the decorations up this year. Doesn't seem to matter, my depression doesn't seem any different than last year when I put them up.
Good luck to you. I hope you can clear the depression.
