Probably from the Welsh in UK, because we(Brits) call them sheep sh*aggers, cos' there are millions of sheep in Wales and not many rams and loads of farmers, like in NZ! I know some farmers in Dunedin, S. Island .
It is a bit similar to the relationship with the Irish, Brits think they were left behind the kitchen door as brains were distributed! LOL

I have never heard that about the Kiwis, but I have tasted the good old New Zealand Lamb, maybe from this too? What do the Kiwi's say about your brothers in Australia?

It gets might cold down on the South Island in July, and the women aren't real friendly.
