Sixteen Great Performances - 1968.
It's still in it's original wrapping with the sales tags on it. There is a little tiny bit of wear on one corner where the plastic was either not sealed or has come apart slightly.

I'm just curious of what it might be worth. I have looked on e-bay but that got me nowhere. Do you know where I can look online? Please don't tell me to take it somewhere to get appraised. I will if I want to know bad enough one day. thanks

ACTUALLY skydotcom. I have found one copy that has been sold for $65.00 CAD and one that sold for $47.00 US.
Depends on the collector

google it. Also keep searching on e-bay cause there are new listings posted every second. Bottom line is that It's worth what someone will pay for it.

It's probably not worth much at all, for a few reasons:
1) Only a VERY small percentage of recordings are worth "real" money. And a record being unopened/mint means nothing, really, unless the record is already collectable in the first place.
2) The fact that your record indicates it was previously released with another catalog number means that it's not even a first edition but, rather, a re-release. So it wouldn't be worth much even if it was a coveted album.
3) "Sixteen Great Performances"? Sounds like it's just some compilation. I'd say the chances of ANY compilation disc being worth anything is miniscule.
I'd say it's probably worth less than $5, best case.

thats a hard one.it would depend on a lot of things.one would be if it was an original release. ( first press) and if you found a collector for Steppenwolf music. the best way it to find a dealer in your local ares and ask, they can usually give you fair price quote.

I recently bought the same album - used reissue - for $6.99 Canadian. But the truth of the matter is, collectables are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. You might be able to find a collector who will pay $50.00 for the album or you may not be able to get more than $10.00 for it.

There are many record collectors out there. Most cities have at least one collectible record store. check the yellow pages. If you cannot find any near you, look in the next largest town nearby.
