Indian Team Management have been trying to build a youthful team in the recent past and in this process youngsters like Suresh Raina, Mohd. Kaif etc. were preferred over Ganguly and Laxman. However, they failed to grab the opportunities given to them as a result of which Management have gone back to Ganguly and Laxman. Filling the team with all youngsters all of a sudden will be dangerous and the process should be executed slowly and steadily. For that you shoule have a team with the mixture of experienced players and young players.

Since World Cup is just few months away, Team Management cannot afford to continue with the experiment till the workd cup is over and you will see after the world cup that emphasis is going back to youth.

Though Tendulkar has not been performing to his potential in the recent past, one should not forget his potential and usefulness when he is in form. Hence there will be no question of dropping him from the same till atlest the world cup.

The selectors think removing such a big player (in terms
of experience,talent,records,
potential) is not
a good move.
They still have faith in his potential as a batsman, though he is not in form.
Also, he has played exceptionally in all World Cups till now.

The selectors are hoping he fires this time (WC 2007) too.
Dravid , Ganguly( if selected for WC) and Sehwag(compared to other newcomers) are the
only experienced batsman apart from Tendulkar.
And experienced players are needed for big matches.

any man is not perfect..not necessary that in all the match sachin score more than 50 runs...u r right that sachin fails to show his talent from last several games...but wait and watch one time will come and now if u observe in some match he scored and definately is coming in form...and if he further can not show and prove that he is a master blaster sachin...then definately he should be replaced...by the time world cup comes he will be in form..that s what i can pray............

This is because the selectors still have some hopes on Sachin. They think he can do well and they also might be thinking that giving chance to other youngsters is risky
