At the moment, I was waiting for many things.
I recently applied to Graduate school and I am waiting for the response.
I know that, once this "issue" is solved, I will wait for something else.
I also think that life is a waiting game. We wait for many things. Some of us wait patiently, while others never learn to be patient. Some of us put forth the effort and time to make what it is that we are waiting for come to us, while others just wait, hope and never take any action.
I think that waiting is a GREAT thing and part of our nature. There are various kinds of "waits". One can wait for food, love, wealth, status, vacation, good health etc.
Some sorts of waiting can keeps us alive, gives us hope, add excitement to our life etc.

I'm waiting to discover why the universe really exists. I'm waiting for a soulmate, if that person really exists. I'm waiting for more focus in my career. I'm waiting for my investments to mature. I'm waiting for my time here to come to an end far in the future. I'm doing many things in the meantime.

I'm always waiting for something. I think it was a band called the Newsboys who wrote a song comparing this life to a waiting room.....I'm always waiting, and I'm pretty impatient...but the reward is usually worth the wait.....

One time, I realized I wasn't waiting for anything. I was engaged, in school, my life was laid out, I had everything I wanted. Things were horribly boring and depressing. Now I'm back to waiting for that ring, for a house, for a new car, etc. I'm happy now.
