Amazing what things some people reccommend. Don't they know what a knee is? Anyway, the swimming or yoga (leaving out the "knee-using" positions),are both the best ideas. Look up "isometric" exercises also .......and good luck! Happy New Year!

i'm not sure how ur kneecap condition is, but i would recommend doing yoga. i've been doing bikram yoga for 5 years now. because its done in a heated room, u get to burn lots of calories and u also get tons of flexiblity. (yoga is also good for ur mind!) you might want to visit a yoga center and talk to the instructor about ur condition. i've seen my yoga instructor give special instructions for those in certain situations. good luck!
