To sumarize I think When fear, lust, anger or sensory pleasures dominate daily behavior people tend to cheat.

Because something is lacking... either in themselves or they fear others are better than themselves.....
It depends on the person and the situation....
In some of the more arrogant, it is because of conquests, competition, and the need to feel they still "got it".....
