I think I would say one of the best romantic fantasy anime would be fushigi yuugi. It's got so much romance and yet a strong storyline and good cast of characters and a mix of comedy, drama, romance and suspence to make it more enjoyable. And the romance was all around and you could really feel for the main couple and all the hardships their relationship had due to the fantasy setting it took place in.

Me personally,i think that the most beauitful classical romantic fantasy anime/manga is Basara,and InuYasha.They're are the BEST!
