You can get crabs from toilet seats, and STDs from unsafe behavior like sharing needles, just get regularly tested and you should be fine.

IF, married and monogamous and STD free, then NO, STD's are not much of a problem. STD;s only become a problem with multiple partners outside of the original STD free relationship. STD's are mostly only transmitted by direct sexual activity outside of the partner in marriage. So, don't stray and you should be OK for the most part.

Some STD's like herpes and gonnerea (sp?), can be spread through a kiss, or other casual contact, if there are open lesions on the mouth or other parts of the body which might come in contact with another person, so there is SOME risk even from friends and relatives, but the risk is slight compared to direct sexual activity.

Keep it in your pants.

If you have both been tested and don't have STD's then you will be fine. However, some STD's do not show up right away and show no signs so it is important that both men and women get tested regularly. If you have never had intercourse outside of your marriage then there is no reason to worry because neither of you could have gotten an STD from someone else.

Yes if you each have a different strain of and STD you can pass it to the spouse and it can make things much worse than it already it or in the case of HIV it could make it harder to treat and turn into AIDS more quickly. You should use protection if you have STD's even if you are married.

A husband and wife can give each other STD's if they had sex with someone else before they got married and got an STD. Or if one is cheating on the other.
