If you upgrade Quicktime to Quicktime Pro (I'm sure you can figure out how), there's an option for File > Export > iPod mp4 or something along those lines. It takes FOREVER but produces a playable file.

You can download videos using programs like LimeWire ( http://www.limewire.com ), but be careful because many of the files that are available through LimeWire are illegal to download for free.

The file ending you want is *mp4, but not all *mp4's will necessarily work. Open them with iTunes, make the transfer, and cross your fingers.

Again, if it's not *mp4, there's a good chance Quicktime Pro will convert it for you.

As for putting your own pictures on it... Connect your iPod to your computer and go to iTunes. I'm guessing you're a Windows user, Apple whored iPod and iTunes out to Windows user and they're the majority... ANYWAY,
1. When your iPod is connected to iTunes, look for an icon that looks like the iPod. It should be in the lower grey area of the iTunes window. Click it.

2. You should wind up with SOMETHING that has tabs called Music, Photos, etc.

3. Click on Photos. You'll see a short list of folders that your computer thinks would be nice to sync with your iPod.

4. Choose a folder, or create your own folder, put the photos you want on your iPod in it, and restart whatever you need to restart until you go to that tab and your folder shows up on the list.

5. You might have to check some boxes in that Photos tab to get this to work. It's pretty self-explanatory once you see it.

6. Your iPod will now automatically sync with the folder of photos you chose every time you connect it to your computer. This means that the photo library on your iPod will MATCH the contents of the folder on your computer. If you delete the photos from that folder on your computer, they will also be erased from you iPod.
