I am not sure what the Starbuck's where you are is playing, but I have heard Edith Piaf (the French singer form the 1940s) being played in Starbuck's here before.

I know Madaleine Peyeroux (sp?) had one there a while back. I think she's from Louisiana though. Cay-JOHN!! SHe's incredible. She has that cackle that Billie Hoilday had. "Take Me to the End of Love" is great.
