Salt Lake City, Definetly. I lived there for almost 2 years and its beautiful. You get to see all the seasons and you get a white Christmas. The air is much cleaner and the scenery and mountians are beautiful the people are friendly, the schools are great, there is Trax railway for transportation, if u like sports theres college football and the Utah Jazz and if you like casinos you have Wendover,NV about 2 hrs away, theres the Sundance Film Festival in Park City,UT And unlike the other posting I read that mentioned people knocking on ur door to talk about religion. I NEVER got anyone at my door trying to talk about LDS.

MY Home is where I would MUCH RATHER LIVE (and it is NOT in either of these cities)
.. but if I had to choose from just these two cities -- Salt Lake City would be it ... because LA is too expensive (cost of living out of the reach of even upper middle class), too dirty (too much smog and too hard to breathe), too crime ridden and violent ... Been there, done that -- and won't ever want to have that horrible experience repeated.

Salt Lake. Fewer different languages being spoken. Less air pollution. California not a friendly state.

Salt Lake city is very beautiful. The nature is great there. but u know i kinda have a tiny little problem wit the mormons, cuz almost everyday they knock on my apartment's door and try to... u know... lol. spread their religion i guess... no offence, though.
LA is so cool. they got everything there. although the streets are rather dirty.
so i think u should stick 2 LA. haha... cuz they got disneyland and univ. studio. and yoshinoya. lol
