I'm taking it down tomorrow. I've also had enough. Time to move on.The stores should be filling up with Valentines Day merchandise in the next 2 weeks or so. Time for a "theme" change.

I understand completely, sometimes Christmas commitments and work can become a burden and beat the heck out of us, and we lose track of the whole message and feeling Christmas is about, and then the poor little tree ends up as a symbol of the hubbub and all we want to do is off it.
We on the other hand are wishing it would hold on a little longer, this year was a particularly sweet, full-of-miracles kind of year and the tree is so lovely.
I guess its better to get it down before it gets pine needles all over the place, but I sure love the smell and it sure has brought us a lot of joy with its beauty.
I know, we could cut a couple branches off and keep them a little longer so we can enjoy and yet not have the tree hanging over our heads to clean-up.....
Hey, the quicker we get them down the quicker we can put them up next time? No, not even I buy that one.... ;<)

Leave the tree up till New Year's. I'm taking mine down New Year's Eve, so there will be space for the partying.

Last April I saw a dead brown christmas tree tied to the top of a station wagon. That's serious procrastination. You could spray paint the old one green, dump all the decorations in a bucket of water to get the dust off and rehang them.

I'm Italian and we don't take our Christams tree down until after the 6th january (the epifany). I have to say that I didn't put mine up until this week. I have had a live wreath up on the front door since Thanksgiving and it is looking decidedly brown and moribund.

Tired of Christmas? This is only the first day of Christmas--11 more to go, Scrooge. You should leave it up until Epiphany: January 6.

I'd love to take mine down to get my house back to normal. But I'm leaving it up for now, cause I don't feel like cleaning up the mess it makes. New Years day I usually pull everything down
