honestly I don't think there's anything Naruto could have said that would have prevented Sasuke from leaving.. all Sasuke cared about was becoming powerful enough to defeat his brother..
but I would've probably said something that would convince him that leaving was not the best path to becoming powerful.. I would remind him how powerful the 5th Hokage is and talk with her and Sasuke about ways he could become as strong as her..

I dont think i would do a good job at that since Naruto failed at that. But in his defense. Sasuke is a hardhead that only thinks of revenge.
