The show said the back of the sleigh was perpindicular but how is that possible if you are successfull in parallel parking.

Well, the concept of parallel parking is to approach the parking place, stop beside the leading car, put the car in reverse and cut the wheel over hard to the right which puts the rear end of the car towards the curb. Accelerate backwards, and when you see the right front headlight of the car behind swing the steering wheel hard over the other way and the front end of the car will now swing into the curb.

By that reckoning, the right side of the sleigh should be against the curb. But that is PARALLEL to the curb, not perpendicular. That means that both the front and the back of the sleigh will be PERPENDICULAR, since the definition is at 90 degrees to the curb.

Her answer was wrong.

Perpendicular is 90 degrees.
Everyday examples include,
Lamp posts which are perpendicular to the road.
and
Walls which are perpendicular to the ground.

So if Santa successfully parallel parked his sleigh.
The left and right doors would be parallel to the curb.
And since perpendicular is 90 degrees,
therefore, the back and front of the sleigh would be perpendicular,
(90 degrees) in relation to the curb.
Same goes for the top and bottom of the sleigh.
Which are parallel to the road and sky, but perpendicular to the curb.

She picked the doors and that makes her an idiot. There were two door anwers, passenger and driver. Those face the same direction. The only logical answer ( if you don't know what perpendicular is) is back of sleigh.
The doors are parrallel.
