Hey guys do guitar strings rust even if thier still in thier package?

What are the best guitar strings to buy for an electric guitar?


1:Erine Ball power slinky
2:DR strings
3:GHS strings
4:Fender stings
5:D'Addario

If package is broken and there is possiblity that moisture and dust might get inside then strings will catch rust.

Dust and moisture, they are biggest enemies of most of metals

I use Fender and they are pretty nice, i think it doesnt really matters which strings you use for electric guitar , once you plug it to a processor then it doesnt really matters which strings you are using, all that matters is your control on fret board

I had never had that problem, as for strings,you have to just try a bunch to find what you like, I use D'Addario or Dean Markley, some times i use GHS, as you will see everyone has their own preferences

I use fender but the best strings are Elixir unfortunately they aren't as cheap. Also pure nickel strings are supposed to have better tone but I haven't ever used them so I can't confirm this.

they might rust if there is high humidity, but i've never had that problem, as i put the strings on when i get them

and i like d'addarios

Yes they rust, because of humidity...
Fender are good

to much moisture in the area they are stored
GHS are good
