Hi.
The issue can be that you have changed the setting of hte monitor screen. Try presing the ctrl+ alt + the arrow keys.. or the ctrl +shift+ Arrow keys. If the issue is the with the screen tilted, it should be resolved. However s you mentioned you are not able to change the resolution of the monior, the issue can be with the video drivers or the video card itself. In order to isolate nd diagnose the root cause, please let me know which system are you using and the video card that is attached on the system. Also if you could ltell, which monitor is attached to the system, I would be able to provide you much better resolution to the issue.
:-)

begin by restarting the comp. it generally does the trick.
if the entire screen itself is tilted at 90o then i cant help you. but if its only the task bar then:
right click on the task bar--> unlock taskbar.
using your mouse drag the taskbar into its normal position.

for everything looking larger on the desktop:
right click-->select properties-->resolution should work. if it does not then it is possible that the monitor does not support that high a resolution. also if it has been able to support that res before and it isnt now then there must be something wrong with it. you can try reinstalling the drivers. if this too does not solve the problem then there always is SYSTEM RESTORE.
