You will need some layers to get warm but by the end of the hike you may even feel a little to warm. Take survival gear, a lighter and some high calorie food, and a box of jello so you can mark your location in case there is trouble.

Leave a one minute report with Police or emergency services and dress for the worst. Weather is changeable and if anything can go wrong, it will. Tell some friends just in case and give them a rough idea of where you will be and what time do you expect to get there.

i wouldn't wear something TOO warm...even if it will be 20 out. you'll be hiking, and working up a sweat.
it is ALWAYS good to pack extra clothing (and a thicker coat) in a back pack...just in case! also food, and water *LOTS of water*

It will probably work. But are you sure you don't have anything else to wear under it other than a t-shirt? Because you will be a lot warmer if you layer your clothing.
