Holy cow Olive, most adults don't even own a laptop.
Laptops are very expensive. If you want one that bad ... go out and find yourself a part-time job. Babysitting, bagging groceries, gas jockey, bus-boy/girl and cleaning houses, are but a few of the things that an untrained youth could do, for extra money. I think you're expecting a tad too much from your parents ....
Get out there and make the money yourself ... trust me, you'll feel good about yourself, when you've raised the money all by yourself.

Well, often times things that are important to us require some hard work. I suggest finding someone to work for...a relative or friend who needs babysitting, cleaning, or something like that. Save up your money and get yourself a computer! And, by the way, don't be depressed. Be thankful that you just had a nice Christmas, you got some gifts, you had your family around, had good food to eat. "Things" don't make us happy...we have to choose to be happy. So, don't worry...be happy!
