Hello,
well, I had the first generation, 5 wheel click IPod 20 GB. Now I got a 30 GB 5 wheel click IPod. My question, my old Ipod gives me troubles. That's why I got a new one. How can I transfer the 1,385 song in an easier way to my new Ipod? Thanks for any instructions trhoughout I would deeply appreaciate. Itried dropping and pasting, it won't work. Thanks again. If you had the first generation click wheel than there is no way that it can be 20GB it was only 5 GB in size. The first models that were 20GB with a click wheel was the 4th generation, the first generation was only compatible with mac and had no touch wheel meaning there was a clicking noise when you moved your thumb in a circular fashion, here's a timeline:

It depends on how you were syncing your files before If you used Itunes than connect your new Ipod and select the same setup either you select your whole library or right click on it select options and only select the playlists that you want synced. If you no longer have the songs on your computer, than you wan't to download Xplay and copy the files from your old ipod onto your computer:

I would use Itunes to sync them up since it will make your playlists more mangeable, so after adding them to your computer drag them over to Itunes while you have it open, than sync up your new Ipod with it.

you might be able to get help at the site apple.com or sometimes you might have to format your ipod...im new to the ipod stuff tho.
