In the movie "The Pursuit of Happyness" The character that Will Smith played said something about the lines Thomas Jefferson putting in Pursuit in "Pursuit in Happyness" does anyone know the exact quote that Will Smith said? All I remember was him finally understanding why Jefferson added that because Happiness was unattainable...

Thanks~

Dont let someone bring you down, the pursuit never ends, as happiness lasts.

I don't remember the exact quote, but 'pursuit of happiness' is from the Declaration of Independence. The unalienable rights (things that no one can take away from you) are "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

I know that it was when he was going home after he found out that Linda was going to leave him and was taking Christopher with her. I do remember that,I don't know what chapter or what time into the movie it was. It was somewhere around the beginning close into the middle. I really wasn't watching the time or chapters. Hope that helps!
