Really all you need to know is how to count money and do basic math in your head kinda quick. Money handling is important in any career, but cashiering, especially. Tell whoever is doing the interviewing that you are confident in yourself and that you can balance any amount of money. ( I mean, it's the same concept trying to balance a $200 bank or a $200,000 bank, right?) List anythig as experience, even if it was selling raffle tickets or hot dogs at your local high school basketball game. Tell them that you are error free in basic math, money handling, and change giving.

You have to be neat. Speak politely to the public. Know how to make change. How to ring the item up or pass over that computer thingy. There is nothing to it. Remember to ask the costumer if they found every thing they were after, ask if they want paper or plastic bags. Tell them to have a good evening/day and to come again. Smile.
