Leave ice cream and rich dairy products alone. Only use skim milk products. Don't go for sugar either. You will increase your triglycerides, not good either. If watching your diet well doesn't lower high cholesterol levels you may have to take medication. Some peoples bodies just produce more. Take the medication regularly and get regular check ups while on medication. Report any problems with muscle pains etc. while using cholesterol lowering medication. I also recommend getting better advice from a qualified physician.

Dear, as about what not to eat, I guess you will recieve lot of suggestions but what you must eat/drink is a good herbal tea which should contain Arjuna bark as on of the ingredient.Arjuna bark is a very good natural cholesterol buster and gives strength to the muscles of the body, especially the heart muscles and if the heart muscles are strong enough to pump the blood with full force, no amount of cholesterol can accumulate in the blood vessels. Ofcouse, nothing is as good as daily exercise. Anyway, I know a very good as well as tried and tested herbal tea - KHALSA DESI TEA (Herbal tea) manufactured by Dasmesh Drug Pharma, Amritsar. My mother has been using it for some 4 years now and her cholesterol levels have not climbed above normal levels since then.Try it and hopefully you will be benefit from it as we have.

Don't eat fried foods, greasy foods, Eat veggies,take it easy on milk and eggs, eat alot of fiber. Hubby is on a low cholesterol diet. Oh, stay away from chocolate.

A person on a fat free diet very rapidly reverts to a normal cholesterol level. This means that the fat that you eat is causing your cholesterol problem. Consult a competent dietician and get a low fat diet that you can live with.
