James Brown, arguably the most important voice in soul, died today, and Yahoo barely mentions it, and pulls the story from the front page after a few hours. But when that guy from the Raymond show and the other white crocodile hunter dude dies, we heard about it for weeks on end. Its bull. RACISTS!

Um,I think that "homepage" list has to do with popularity. Go to Yahoo News and scroll down to "Entertainment". It's there.
Sometimes I wonder about the "bias"of the media. I remember when Richard Pryor died. It just didn't seem to get the publicity it deserved. He was a comedy ICON! Then you get like John Ritter. He was good, but he was remebered as a "genius"?

The Yahoo! and other news listing you see are not selected by humans for the most part. A computer decides, based on an algorithm, which stories are presented.

If you want to see more than the list you can click on the "All stories from.." link in the bottom of the pane.

If you want the real news, you are looking in the wrong place, Yahoo! and the rest simply display stories from the major news streams. The same pool of choices that the corporate news use. Do a search for alternative news sources if you want fair and balanced listings.

The most important voice to YOU. He was great and will always be. We heard about the crock hunter because he was a current and active celebrity and was killed in a most unusual way. I bet if someone like Denzel Washington was killed in a weird way that his face would be plastered all over for months. Denzel is cool. I do not think racism has anything to do with it. More often than not racism does not exist. For most WASPY or JEWISH white people the thought of being a racist never even enters our/my brain. I have not seen or heard about James Brown in a long time.

Why do people who do not always get their way automatically accuse others of racism. Are you not capable of arguing a point on its merits so that you have to resort to mudslinging. Not only do you make yourself look foolish but divert attention away from actual racism.

I believe if you have the pressing need to see a racist then you must look in the mirror.

Despite the fact that one of his fans is a racist James Brown was one of the greats and will be missed.

Just because his obituary isn't on the front page right now, doesn't mean it's being cast aside. It happens to be on the front page of the Internet Movie Database right now, and I remember when they didn't add Ossie Davis' obituary on the front page fast enough for black militants and were accused of racism.
