My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years. Obviously we've been having sex the entirety of our marriage, but just recently we have been actively trying to get pregnant. Does anyone know the statistics of couples getting pregnant when they first try? Or will it generally take a while?

It vaires and it depends on what type of birth control you were using and for how long. If you were using condoms or spermicides you could get pregnant immediately. Ususually with the pill it takes longer.

those are lots of the climate which will influence the possibility of being pregnant: a million. the lady would or won't be fertile on the time intercourse replaced into consummated. If she is fertile, there's a reliable danger that she would be able to get pregnant. If no longer, no longer something will happen. 2. Ten (10) seconds may be a sufficient time for being pregnant to happen. 3. the sensation of no longer ejaculating isn't an insurance that a guy had no longer ejacucated. some fluids would have come out with out one feeling it. So, the possibility continues to be 50-50. you could look ahead to some million/2 a month to a minimum of one month...If menstruation takes place, then there is no longer something to stress approximately...If it would not happen, that's something to stress approximately.

If you've been on the pill, I've been told it could take about 6 mos to get pregnant. For me, once I went off the pill, I was pregnant immediately after. It depends on a lot of things and I really don't think there will be a definitive answer for this.

I've known people who got pregnant right away, It took me 6 months for my first, no time at all my second.
Birth control may determine length. If you've been on the pill or any other hormonal birth control, this may take time to get out of your system. It just comes down to your individual body, the best thing you can do is talk to your doctor.

Happy baby planning, hope everything goes well!!

depending on your age, medical conditions, etc....the average 23 year old has only a 30% chance of conceiving on any given month. and then the pregnancy has about a 65% chance of going to term. infertility is defined as having unprotected sex for over a year without a positive prenancy test or 6 months if over the age of 35. best of luck to you.

I heard 50 percent conceive after three months, 75 percent after six months, and 90 percent after a year-- that is if you have no underlying fertility problems. Track your cycle and have sex during your fertile times. If a years passes without a pregnancy you need to see a doctor. Good luck!
