If you are refering to what is also sometimes called "outer space" or the area outside the Earths atmosphere, then it has no end. You see, the Earth is in a solar system which is in a galaxy which is in a universe. There are many universes in a multi-verse etc. etc. There is an infinate number of layers to existance. The more powerful telescopes, radio devices and probes we develope, the more layers we find. It is beyond our ability to understand.

When you walk into a large empty room, you say "look at all the space to put things in". Also, a empty closet has a lot of space. But go outside on a clear cloudless night and look up and space is forever. Light travels so fast it can circle the earth 7 times in a second, but just a single Galaxy like ours can easily be 200 million light years across. Go to the Hubble website and you will be amazed at what is out there in 'SPACE'

Space is anywhere and everywhere. It is a separate entity that has no bounds but ends within the limits of our own imagination.
