Okayy. I just got an iPod nano for Christmas and I feel somewhat clueless. I know how to work it, get the songs on it, whatever, but I have no idea how to get songs off of it. I browsed through answers to similar questions to mine, but none of the answers were helpful. One I read said "Right click on song and click 'clear' and follow the instructions from there" Well, I'm sure that would have help if there WERE such an option as 'clear' in iTunes. All I have been doing is deleting the songs from iTunes and not from the iPod...

Help?

Actually i just got the new version from iPod (nano) and it's a little different than described in the other answers.

Either you can delete all ur songs from iTunes or just mark them on the left to your song with a checkmark.

Then in iTunes go to the right hand side of the screen where it has your iPod and click on it.

Where it says Summary, Music......on top click on music

Then Sync your music

Open ITunes. Connect your Ipod. Click on your Ipod. The Ipod library should open and you can delete the songs fromthere by right-clicking and choosing delete, pressing delete, etc.

On the left column of iTunes, you'll see things like: My Library, and the name of your ipod.

Click the name of your ipod, you should see a list of songs that are on your ipod.

click the top song

hold shift, and click the song at the bottom of your list.

Hit delete on your keyboard.

Ok, so you know that you should first delete the songs from your iTunes. Connect you iPod to your computer and the songs should also delete from your iPod.

plug in your ipod, on your itunes click on the ipod icon and just right click on any of the songs you want deleted... delete them and then unplug your ipod.(dont just unplug it) click on the icon in bottom right corner that removes the ipod.
