A friend was asking me a while back if I knew of a good lubricant for shaving and I said sure use KY jelly. He got a real discusting look on his face and said are you crazy use that on my face. Instant reaction without thinking.

Many of these throw away razors now have a strip with a lubricant in it. That lubricant is the same kind of product as KY jelly. It is a mixture of proteins and absolutely not what many think it is.

Some people do get razer burn easily and do need something to help.
KY was an attempt to find something to use on burn patients while they were healing. Other uses for the invention has been found.

I dont see why not.. If it works then it works.
Surely if its safe enough to go inside a womans vagina without causing any damage then its safe to use on the face.
Its not sick you know!

Well, as I don't use anything but soap in general when shaving (and that rarely)... I'm not sure how to react to the us of KY Jelly...

Frankly I think that soap is probably much cheaper... KY being made for 'special' purposes, and therefore marked up... whilst shaving cream and soap are basic commodities...

Very interesting suggestion... Don't know that I'd try it... if KY works, then a silicone based sexual lubricant would work even better (and be even more expensive...)

Wow - gotta think about this one...

When I run out, I use hair conditioner. KY isn't going to soften the hair. Its base is glycerin, that liquifies when its heated. Its purpose is to provide more water where there isn't any.

Did your friend say what he is shaving or did you just assume he meant his face.
