60% Good people v.s. 20% Bad.
The other 20% leave it to the rest of us to wrestle over.
Moral decay is an illusion, things are the same if not better, we just have 24 hour news channels telling us everything is messed up everywhere. Don't feed into it, they need ratings to survive, fear-mongering raises ratings, thus we must all feel unsafe for them to survive.
America, is technically an infant compared to the Greek and Roman Civilizations, our best days are definitely ahead.

I do believe that there are still a lot of good people out there. Most of us have morals and are not complete idiots; however there are also many people who are completely immoral and promote absolutely nothing but evil and selfishness. I strongly believe good always wins. The major concern in this world should not be the morality of humans, rather the state of our environment is what is going to lead to the downfall of America and the rest of the world. We could have the most moralistic individuals inhabiting the world but if we don't do something about the state of our environment we are not going to have life left to ponder over the morality of people.

NOTHING. The u.s. is ENTIRELY CORRUPT. The decay of the nation began at least 30 yrs ago. Its fall is not far off. The chaos that the gov't has permitted & cultivated itself will greatly aid in its self destruction. In my opinion the u.s. ceased being a world leader in the '70's when we succumbed in 'Nam & then permitted the arabs to stage a oil embargo upon us. From then on the u.s. became more passive ; a follower instead of a leader. The slow, albeit steady decline of what made the u.s. great economically > the auto industry, was soon to follow, logically. The socio-economic structure in the u.s. is shot, KAPUT. What's left ?? hey, Everybody's on there own now.. good luck.

America still has a religious foundation to its collective consciousness, with around 80% of people professing Christianity as their religion, and less than ten percent who claim atheism as their religion. The Judeo-Christian ethic that built this country, and that its laws were built on, keeps the majority of people at least superficially tied to traditional morality, though increasingly portions of it are being rejected.

To counter J T; it is better to say the right thing and do the wrong thing than to say and do the wrong thing. I do not know of anyone who always lives up to his or her ethical ideals, and the bar would have to be pretty low for that to be attainable. There are religious hypocrites, just like there are atheistic hypocrites. In short, the problem isn't that religious people are "crooks and liars," it's that people in general are prone to be "crooks and liars."

I could only venture to say that maybe it is due to our country's self involvement/self-centeredness. If we weren't all too busy talking on our cellphones, playing on our computer, listening to our I-pods, or texting from some sort or sidekick, we might have time to take a look at the world around us and start to care about the future of mankind. I would be willing to bet that most of the population is too wrapped up in their own little 'world' to notice how terrible the world is becoming. Most people would prefer to stay oblivious and pretend it isn't happening. I hope things start to improve for the benefit of mankind in the future.

Hope this helps--just my opinion... :-)

Nothing it seems. When I look at the war in Iraq and at the atrocities commited by American soldiers I feel that America has already reached complete immorality.

Churches, and personal morals instilled by decent parenting. Both of which are in a state of decay, and that in turn leads to a steady decline in society.

The Bible isn't one e book, yet many books compiled into one series. the particularly some books are historic and take care of the historic previous of the Jewish human beings and usa of Israel. between those you will locate thoughts of barbarity, intrigue, incest, rape, infanticide, sodomy, and so on. this is actual that there are fundamentalist Christians who, for dogmatic motives, unthinkingly include each and every quantity or perhaps letter because of the fact the "infallible word of God", with none connection with the content or context of the books. that may no longer a place it quite is taken via each and every Christian. Even some moments of theory will alert any Christian to the contradictions one is landed in if one have been to take each and every of the precepts heavily as divine writ. attempt reconciling the commandment to no longer kill (no.6) with the supposedly divinely sanctioned genocides and massacres. Can one heavily believe that on one hand God had informed us to no longer kill (no ifs or buts), and then went directly to tell human beings to kill? somewhat, one has to verify the permission for judicial killing and genocides as tries via society of the day to uphold order and justify nationalistic goals. The checklist is unquestionably one of human failure even to end this, and working in the time of the checklist is the thread of "salvation historic previous", of a God who's repeatedly used via adult adult males to serve their very own hobbies, yet who interior the tip comes by because of the fact the "nonetheless small voice" and interior the meek individual of Jesus Christ. So do no longer tar each and every Christian with a similar brush. There are people who dare to ensure the Bible with the injunction needless to say of their techniques, that the "previous wine" won't be ready to be contained interior the hot wine skins, and that "you have examine of previous", yet He has made all issues new.
