I am thinking of moving to Miami, FL. I am a 20 year old male, from the state of NY. I'm a high-school drop out, although I'm pretty intelligent. I have a good work ethic and will bust my @ss like a Mexican all day long. Can anyone tell me what my possibility for employment would be in Miami?

Its FL, your competition consits of senior citizens and mexicans. If your American, you should have NO problem getting a job. There are plenty hotels and cruises that need cleaners! Adios mi amigo

I see nothing offensive in the question, but see no relation to Mexico. Miami has Cubans and Puerto Ricans. And it is true that one pretty much has to speak Spanish there if he will have any contact with the public.
Unfortunately, without a high school degree or equivalency, it will be pretty hard to find a job. Here in Philippines many of the back-country people thought they would go to the Big City and get rich. What they did become is squatters with no job.
Give finishing school a thought or at least getting an equivalency. That way you will have a better job than at McDonalds.

You will probably be able to get minimum wage jobs, if you know spanish you will have a better chance, but may I suggest if you are intelligent and have a work ethic, why dont you try for your GED and have at least that so you will no longer be a drop out. Your employment opportunities and wage will go way up.

High school dropout? Well, you could work in the tourist industry making $7.50 an hr. That's about it.. Good luck though!

i think the mexican comment is very offensive and you don't diserve to move down to a nice state like florida and just stay up in new york!!!!

You should speak Espangol (i think its written this way) its Latino area there.
