Indifference is the lack of emotion, opinion, or concern. You are probably largely indifferent to many things and choose to focus your energies instead on your passions.

Indifference to nearly everything, or apathy, is a common symptom of depression and schizophrenia. Since emotions tend to be aroused by a strong stimulus, the normal state is neutral, which might be construed as apathy, depression, ennui, or simply boredom. Apathy is simply when this neutral state endures for an extended period, even when situations that would normal provoke strong emotions are encountered.

It's the lack of feeling toward someone or something. It's regarding someone as "just there" without having any emotion toward the person at all, good or bad.
