Absolutely not, don't ruin a great mustang by riceing it out. If you do put 22s on your handling will be so awefull the local high school kids will be laughing at you.

Save your money, get some even stronger internals so you can pull even more boost!

Well, it's a lot cooler than putting candy red paint, 22" chrome rims, and jacking up a Stage 3 Roush Mustang until it looks like a 4x4. Just be sure that when you lower it that you check for tire clearance and make sure your shocks and struts will work in the lower position and with the heavier rims. Cut coils and stock shocks may give you the right look, until you see the car going down the road and it has that infamous bouncy ride. (Note: Lowering springs and stock shocks are often at least as bad for bouncy rides!)

The only thing I would want to change for certain is that I'd rather have polished aluminum instead of chrome. 22" wheels are already a lot of bright metal, and so I'd want the finish to be a bit more understated. I might even go with painting the center section of the wheels body color and leaving just the outer rim polished.

Did you consider the strain the larger diameter tires will put on the suspension components when cornering ,particularly the ball joints. Think leverage! I saw a car with huge wheels and tires broken down at a gas station recently whose suspension had failed and his tire was laying sideways in the wheel well. He had just exited a freeway---it could have been disastrous. I have also seen lug nuts and studs break and allow tire to come off. Be careful.

I'd go for the first two, but I'm not a big fan of lowering cars. It makes them look retarded in my opinion.
