Look for the source of your anger. What injustice do you feel has been done to you? Did someone treat you badly, or are you just mad at the world? The best way to release anger is for you to act differently in the future. Do you just suffer verbal abuse? Or do you stand up and calmly say, I don't like what you have just done. You hurt my feelings. Realise that you have a right to be respected. Learn assertiveness. Plenty of good assertive behaviour guides on the Internet. Look for things and people that make you feel good about yourself. Spend your energy going constructive things, accomplish something that changes your view of yourself.

Can relate.
Chop firewood, if you have it. Get a punching bag or heavy bag and a pair of gloves, it's good exercise, too. You could write out your angst in a blog or journal (later you can read it and refine your dislikes, come to terms with them possibly but, at any rate, it's constructive.)

Get a punching bag and give it a few smacks or go bowling and mentally place the object of your anger on them. Exercise, walk it off! Take up painting, crochet or knitting.

Take up kickboxing or some form of martial arts. Or, if you don't have enough time to start a new sport, buy a punchbag and hang it up somewhere and when you're angry just punch it like there's no tomorrow.

Go for a swim or do something to exhaust yourself completely and never BROOD.. thats the worst part of it coz it is like a Scarab beetle devouring you......Life is short so enjoy to the fullest as if ther s no tomorrow!!!!

Buy a Drumset, they are built for beating. It don't matter if you can't play them, you can beat them, it releives a lot of tension and frustration.
