What is the "One Drop" rule, when and how is it applied? Is it still used? How?

the one drop rule began around the time of the civil war. it states that if your ancestry had blacks then you were considered black. im half mexican, one eigth black and 3 eigths white, under the one drop rule i am considered black.it is applied by people who are racist.

I know of the 30 second rule - teaching it to my niece and nephews (only the oldest understands so far..)

Rule for men: If you've dropped it on the floor, you have thirty seconds to pick it up and eat it - other wise its bad...
