I am getting the internet on my iMac over a phone line network, since the wireless couldn't reach my computer from the router in my house, but I still have the airport card in the iMac. Can I use the airport card to create a wireless internet network?
This is what I am trying to describe-
Cable Modem -> Wired Phone Line Router -> iMac-> wireless network from airport card.

is this possible?

Scince you have the airport card in your mac just go and purchase an Airport base station from an apple centre. You can plug your modem and a USB printer into it so that you can use the broarbband connection and the printer wirelessley whilst you are in rande of the airport base station. You can buy an airport express to extend the range of the base station

Airport card for MAC is not a router at all. Its a card that makes your MAC behave as a wireless client. No you can not do it the way you have described it.
