In addition to these suggestions, I'd also consider getting her a friend. Bored guinea pigs who are trapped in a cage alone do things that guinea pigs in pairs normally never do.
They can bite the cage bars in boredom, scream randomly to entertain themselves, play with the water bottle by letting the water all run out, and dump over their food. They are social animals, and so when they're by themselves, they get bored and may become destructive to try and ease that boredom.

I had the same problem with my guinea pigs. To fix this problem, I agree that the best thing you should do is to buy a heavy bowl. Even with a heavy bowl, you might have a problem with the guinea pig kicking it's food out of the bowl.

Well what you need is a heavier bowl because as they stand on it to eat it tips because of the weight and as annoying as it is it can't be stoped so buy like a ceramic bowl or a metal cat bowl.
Good Luck.

Get a bowl where the base is broader than the top, so that it naturally balances the right way up. I find my piggies use their bowls to play: sometimes one will manoeuvre the salad bowl so that it is on top of the dry mix bowl! My Adam used to nibble pieces of newspaper into little circles and place them on top of his bowls; I am sure he was doing it to keep the food fresh, rather than to stop anyone else from getting to it - he was neat!

We have one that attaches to the wire in the cage. It works great.
We found ours at a Tractor Supply store. Try Petco or Petsmart on the dog isle.
Good Luck!
