Very old records from the 50's, 60's, and 70's. People like The Beatles, Elvis, Janis Joplin, Lynerd Skynard, John Melloncamp or John Couger?

There are 5 albums but he has two different names, and one album is by John Couger Melloncamp, but all three are the same guy?

Also, a lot of less important names, people I've never heard of from the 50's and 60's. I have over 200 of them from my father, and I'm never going to listen to them.

How much can I sell them for on Ebay or other auction sites?

Try looking on eBay for the specific records you have. Do an advanced search and check the "completed listings only" box. That way you can easily see what these items already sold for. Without telling what the specifics of each album is, that's the best I can do.

re: John Mellencamp.
He started out using John(ny) Cougar. As he got well known, he put his real name on the end making it John "Cougar" Mellencamp. Then he just dropped the "Cougar."

Your best bet is to first look them up on eBay & follow them. See how much someone else sold them for.
John couger melloncamp is the same guy as the rest.
Your albums are only worth as much as you could find someone to buy them for. I'd stick with ebay.
For a great price you would want the original plastic cover over the album. The record itself can not have any scratches, and the cover must be in almost perfect condition. I'd keep them for awhile longer. Just hold on to them. They will sell for much more in the future.
Good Luck

By all means get them appraised by a professional. Then you might check the web for collector sites that handle this item. Lots of books that have prices. But don't turn them into ashtrays lol. I don't know about e-bay but you might be able to put individuals and albums up for bid.

Look on Ebay for the albums you have and see what they go for...That is your best chance and research I do it all the time...But don't get your hopes up..The records and covers must be in near perfect to near perfect to get any real money for them and yo must give them a chance to return them if not in the condition you say they are!! Good Luck ..Do the research

get thema appraised at a local store that has vinyls. Get the book from them with look up pricing and go from there. You could also try librarys.
