Have you had some stress? Long- and short-term stress can affect your period. Once you chill out, you'll probably get your period back.

This could be as a result of many things such as diet, stress, etc. However, don't rule out pregnancy. I have had a false-positive pregnancy test before. I also had two periods when I was pregnant with my first child and didn't realize I was pregnant until the morning sickness hit hard. Have you been to a doctor? These days the Urine tests are VERY similiar to the store bought tests; however the doctor can do a blood test or an ultrasound or many other tests to give you a positive answer. I also have a friend that stopped having periods and saw her obgyn and she had a rare female problem (I don't remember the name of the top of my head) but she had to have her periods induced. Also, certain types of birth control can have the same affect. Again, I would start with your OB-GYN.

A number of things could cause you to stop having your period. If you have not had a period in more than a month and have had a negative home pregnancy test you should call your doctor for an appt. What you have going on warrants further work up.

Stress? But i'm in the same boat and i know I ain't pregnant. See a doctor, because there could be something wrong. Or take another pregnancy test just to be sure and then consult a doctor.

i've gone 7 months without my period before. and my doc wasn't worried at all, the only time he wanted to start doing something was when my hubby and i wanted to get pregnant. you should make an appointment with your doc, just to make sure everything is ok. and stop stress'n about it, because that could make it worse.

Stress, diet, exercise, non-ovulation - just about anything. Talk to your doctor if this is of concern to you.
