It's really easy to put music from your CDs onto your iTunes and then to your iPod. With iTunes open, insert the CD into your drive. A screen will come up listing the tracks on the CD. There will be an button to import the CD at the top right-hand corner of the screen, click that and the tracks will be added to your iTunes library. You don't need special software to convert the CD tracks, iTunes does so automatically.

For your first question, Yes iPods are very good. Second question, No it is not difficult to get music off of cd's on to the iPods. All you have to do is have iTunes and then pt the cd in to the disc drive, then you push the import button at the top of the iTunes program, it automatically copyis the songs to itunes then all you have to do is have the ipod plugged into the computer and you just copy them to the iPod. im not really sure what the best place to buy them is, but you should buy them new if you want a good one. try apple.com. I have an iPod Nano and it is really cool you should definately get one!

Hope this helps you make your decision on getting one!

Your dad can legally make an archival backup replica of a CD he offered. He may additionally use excerpts of the music in comments or different uncomplicated-use events. the rest is enormously lots unlawful. Letting you employ his "archival backup replica" is form of a grey section, yet it would not look any worse than in basic terms lending you the CD to hearken to. as long as you do no longer distribute the replica to absolutely everyone, i does no longer subject too lots. Edit: Haha, i'm beginning as much as love your dad. he's coaching you lots approximately data based thinking, doing issues for your self, and staying out of subject. look on the artist(s) on the CD conceal. do no longer you go with for to advantages them for making such tremendous music via paying for yet another replica? Then actual all people's happy. :)
