I never watch "The Simpsons", but someone I care a lot about says I remind him of her. Is that a good thing?

Marge is a very stereotypical American housewife, looking after and doing most things for three children and an extremely stupid husband... Although in most things she is kind and honest (honest to a fault), she never displays any original thought, nor any deviation from the average decent hard-working tax-paying God-fearing homeowne (apart from having crazy blue hair)... She goes to church every Sunday, but probably couldn't explain why beyond "It's the right thing to do..." She is loyal and devoted to her family, but encourages them not to do anything that might cause trouble... Overall, she would be considered a respectable woman in the community, but also someone who nags a lot and who prevents her family from having too much fun. (But considering how stupid her husband is, it's not surprising she doesn't approve of anything he does. If she left him, I'd probably have a much higher opinion of her...)
I apologise for painting such a negative picture of her, but it is only my opinion, and most of the world would likely disagree with a lot I've said... Also, it's more likely your friend was referring to her good points, of which she does have many...
But to really get an idea of what your friend means when he say you remind him of her, ask him... Only he can tell you exactly what he thinks of Marge Simpson...

She is Homer's wife. She's a blue haired woman. She's smart but I think she is also talkative. She always fights for the comunity problems. But the people of Springfield don't like her much.

she is yellow with big blue hair, sounds like she smokes about 100 cigarettes a day!!. nice lady tho, cares about her family more than anything i think its meant as a compliment!

shes sweet and loyal to her husband and really loves him. shes in charge mostly cause homers always getting in trouble. and shes a good mom. and shes just a good person (well cartoon) so yes it's a good thing.
