no , please don,t even think about it,,,i don,t know what you , or your friend are going thought now, but i can assure you it is transitory, at best, if you were meant to be together it would have happened long before now...take a step back , and remember you are friends , and you are married..if you want to remain friends... if you indulge this ( what if ) episode it most likely will not end well, you risk losing all you have, with your husband, and your friend OK,, good luck...

OK...I think the key words in your question were "happily married for 7 years".....let me rephrase..."HAPPILY MARRIED" you are the one who said those words not me! So, in a way, you almost answered your own question. You are already happy, what are you looking for then, are you just bored with life and curious to see if you can get any happier from here? You are correct about one thing though, every marriage does face trials, and perhaps this is a test from above to see if you are strong enough to withstand temptation and remain loyal to your husband. I believe that perhaps you are letting your feelings play a huge part in this...and I am a strong believer that there should be a balance between emotions and rationality. In this case, your emotions are swaying you one way, and common sense is the only thing holding you back. You know that it would be wrong to pursue something that is "more than a friendship" outside of your marriage, and by asking this question you were just curious to see what kind of advice society could give you....but should you really listen to society? You know they are not the best givers of valuable advice!...Look around!
You know its wrong, period. Think about how much it would hurt you if your husband was asking this question instead of you....

You run the risk of not only losing your husband but also losing your lifelong friend when the fling is over and it's to awkward to be in each others presence.

You must not be happily married. If you were then this wouldn't be a thought in your mind for you to even be asking this.

If you don't think your marriage is worth second guessing your new found feelins for your friend. Ask yourself, are you willing to risk damaging your marriage for your new feelings for your old time friend. You'll have your answer. Good luck.

Please do not do this to your husband..
Absolutely NOT>>>>> If you want to have a life with your childhood friend then end your marriage and move on with this guy..Do not have to spoons in the pot at one time...It is not fair and nor is it right,,,,,

No! Good grief, aren't you MARRIED?
Perhaps you don't value personal integrity. In that case, go for it and see how many regrets you can earn.
