Yes let him regain confidence first. Then let's not mix apples and oranges. We can't afford to drop every other player.Dropping an youngester actually gives him recoup better

Irfan entered inthe field of cricket as a fast bowler.and he did very well in his past games..nt only in bowling but also become famous as a great technical batsman..but from last few games he couldn t performe well as a bowler...if 1 or 2 batsman like sehwag fails then other batsman can takecare of the game but in case of bowler it is difficult...if irfan pathan sent back 4 playing ranji trophy instead of just sitting over there and not playing then what s the wrong thing??he is getting chance to improve his bowling so that he can perform well in international cricket..and same problem with sehwag persist then this thing should be applied on sehwag too...

Irfan Pathan neede some advice from gr8 bowlers which he didn't get, so his performance weakened. He needs more practice on the domestic cricket so as to catch the bus for WC 2007. On the other hand I hope Sehwag should not play for INdia in WC 2007. He is the biggest flop batsman for any team in the history of WORLD CRICKET.

Since Pathan has not been bowling well in the recent past and has also failed to regain his bowling form in whatever opportunities given to him in South Africa, it has become clear that he cannot be included in the playing 11 in the 3rd test as well. Since he is a talented youngster and has been considered one of the hopeful for world cup, team management do not want to keep him idle and want to help him to regain his form. Since 2 Ranji Trophy matches are scheduled for Baroda in January 2007, Team Management want him to play in these matches and regain his confidence and form instead of sitting idle at South Africa.
This has been done for his own benefit and not only there is nothing wrong in that but also not at all any injustice to him.

Irfan is being sent to play Ranji trophy matches, if he does not re-claim his form here in domestic cricket, then he is finished. The guy must be already feeling depressed by his recent performances, and this sending him home in the middle of a tour, will depress him further...another fine example of greg's ways...Can India afford to lose another fine bowler? India should not !!!

it is right move by playing ranaji matches pathan will get his confidence back
irfan is very talented player and he was going through bad patch. still he got some chance to play b'cuz team management trusted his ability
Any player out of team, injured or out of form or team ind defeated ppl blame dravid. drvid made villian for other players badluck or failures.. dravid has no authority or he did not tell bcci to make him captain, or include or exclude any player, or appoint chappell as coach or if some players goes to bad patch.
when team wins many cricket fans underestimates dravid's contribution. God give strength to dravid to face the criticism /negative comments passed against him for which he is not responsible for.

in a way it was justified:Irfan is a fine player, consistent, genuine in-swing bowler overall a great talent but presently he is out of form .therefore no point hanging on to him just to warm the benches and gorge on south african goodies.it's better for him to come back, prepare well and hit back harder, moreover all the hype has gotten to his head:he needs to come down to earth and work on his temperament.i wish him ALL THE BEST i'm sure he'll come back BIG!!as 4 Veeru ,Rahul wants to retain the winning combination:if he fails again he'll be fired too!!

not at all correct, coz irfan is an emerging player.
he is atleast fine wit bat if not wit ball.
but sehwag is fit for nothing.
this is for sure.
if sehwag can be spared then y not irfan?
