What does this have to do with newborns and babies? You posted this in the wrong subject area.

I know that this seems like a hassle but you could try setting an alarm and waking up so that you can take the puppy outside to go. If you do this on a consistant basis before long he will be going outside and you won't need to set an alarm the puppy will be your alarm because he will come wake you up when he needs to go outside. Don't worry though you can go back to sleep when the job is done. Hope that this helps.

hi, I have the same dog, about the same age. He does have a little terrior in him. And I am having the same problems.
When I am gone I keep him in the bathroom with his toys a warm blanket and a pee pad. I eliminated the pads from the living area and try to take him outside every couple of hours. I also take him from a walk once or twice a day. He still has accidents.
I go to bed late and get up late. Fortunatly he is used to my odd schedual. but always has a wet pad in the morning.

One thing I do it take his poop and put it outside and put it where I want him to poop. I have also rubbed his pee pads on the grass and dirt where I want him to go.......it is starting to work.
I would love to have him sleep with me......but I fear I would roll over and smash him to death.

Let me know if you have any success.

take the potty mat and when you come home put the mat outside keep doing that until he realizes that his mat is outside. it might take a little time, but its worth it. good luck!
